Doggie Doo Review

Been nagging mum for a puppy? Have the kids been bugging you about getting a pet? Perhaps Doggie doo is the answer. This is one of the top 12 listed toys for Christmas 2011.

Doggie doo is fun for all the family and teaches kids a valuable lesson when it comes to caring for a family pet like Doggie Doo.

Players roll the dice and take turns at pumping the lead which in turn makes Doggie doo, er … do his business! Each time Doggie Doo does his thing the player with the lead has to scoop the poop. The first player to 3 scoops wins the game.

This toy has been listed by the Toy Retailers Association (TRA) as one of the top 12 must have / buy toys for Christmas 2011. At the time of writing this review Amazon are selling the game for £22 and most other retailers are in the same price bracket.

So is Doggie Doo worth that much? There are a number of customer reviews on the Amazon site and at present Doggie Doo rates at 4 out of 5 stars from these customer reviews. People generally love this game and for the relatively small price you pay it doesn’t really matter if it’s a whim for the kids, its still cheaper than a real dog!

A few grumbles are evident when it comes to Doggie Doo and these are most prominent on Amazon reviews. A few people have complained that Doggie Doo’s insides get a little clogged (Doggie Doo gets constipated J) despite them following the instructions.

Now I wont pretend to know how it works but if you are passing plasticine through a tube there is bound to be the odd blockage, but im sure that this can be cleared easily enough. It did make me laugh when I saw the presenters on the BBC Morning news trying to pump poo out of little Doggie Doo.

Overall I believe this is a great Christmas toy for anyone above the age of 3. Much fun could be had this Christmas playing with 2 to 4 players.
