Honda CB500 and CBF500 Twins Haynes Service and Repair Manual Review

Haynes manuals are renowned across the UK for their indepth guides to car and motocycle repair and the CB500/CBF500 manual is no different. For a motorcycle manual this is fairly chunky (almost as thick as the car ones I have used previously) and is very detailed. Inside the Haynes manual text and pictures are all greyscale which is not uncommon in these books. The steps required for each part of a particular fix/service are very detailed and the photos are entirely relevant and hold good clarity.

The Haynes Manual covers the Honda CB500 from 1993 to 2002 and the CB500F from 2003 to 2008 which is good as you can then see what modifications Honda made to the CB500 to turn it into the CB500F.

As motorcycle news once said "Haynes Manuals just cannot be beaten

Haynes Manuals also hold their value fairly well and all of the past ones I have had have been resold for around 3/4 their original purchase price.

The detail contained within the book and great and can easily be followed. I have so far used my manual to service my CB500S and change the front form oil and seals as one was leaking. The CB500/CB500F Haynes manual is hardbacked so its good for any workshop and extended use and you can buy a plastic cover to fit over any Haynes Manual to keep it clean.

Overall if you want to service your CB500/CBF500 yourself then this Haynes Manual is a must.
